Two-hour weekend escape from Los Angeles: Santa Barbara + Ojai 🌴 Day 1 Santa Barbara: Depart at 10am and arrive at your destination around noon. Enjoy lunch at the Stella Mare French Restaurant by the lake before entering the city. The interior of this restaurant is very simple and lovely, like a French country house. Outside the restaurant is a glass house, where the sun scatters through the glass to make the food look more delicious. After staying at the hotel in the afternoon, stroll around State St, the main street in the city. You will encounter some lovely Spanish architecture from time to time, very beautiful (the cover picture is an unexpected private apartment). In the evening, go to the famous Shellfish Company by the sea for dinner. There are fresh red sea urchins, recommended their creamy stew soup (it is said that the Burmese and Indian grown-ups are also praised), as well as abalone rice and steamed dumplings. The sea breeze is relatively strong at night, remember to wear warmer! 🌴Day 2: Ojai: The next morning I went to Ojai's certified farmers market. It was available every Sunday morning and ended at 1 pm. There are a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits here, and there are many stalls with cockroaches, which is very missed. After shopping, you can visit the neighborhood, which has many antique shops, coffee shops and bookstores. Generally, it takes about two hours to get around. Ojai is a quiet town hidden in the mountains, and the architectural style is also biased towards Spain, so it will give people a feeling of being in a European town. At noon, you can go to Ojai Rotie, a Lebanese-style restaurant. The outdoor dining environment is very beautiful, as if you are picnicking. Don't forget, on the way back to Los Angeles from Ojai will pass through the discount store of Design Within Reach, students interested in furniture should not miss it!
